How would you begin to fix America?

How do you feel about the economic changes that is taking place before us?
How is it personally affecting you and how do you plan on trying to limit it’s degradation in your personal life?

The Nations now knows Joe the Plummer, the Hockey Puck Mom, or Pit Bull with Lip Stick. However, I represent the silent soldier. Consider me like many others in America who served their country civically or through the Military, raised their Children to be good citizens while simultaneously fighting gross injustices in the work place and society but never gave up hope for this Country regardless of its Racial Birth Defect so eloquently stated by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Mr. President Elect Obama, I believe America is asking the wrong questions in regards to our economy. We are not just suffering from a Home Land Security, Health Care, Mortgage, Banking, or Automotive Industry Crisis. These are merely symptoms to the Root of our problem. The above business sectors are merely Operational Units within the American Global Industry or Gross National Product.

What is one of the single most reasons why America is great as an Industrialized Nation?

What was the glue that directly contributed to America winning all of its Wars?

Bottom Line, America has always been successful because of its Inherent Logistics Capability. From a military perspective, America dismantled rather than leverage its discipline in Supply Chain Logistics after the First Gulf War. We've got the Neo-Cons to thank for that. Unlike scientific programs from NASA, concurrency never completely evolved which restricted the proliferation of the logistics discipline. Most Supply Chain/Logistics responsibilities and jobs were considered menial resulting in outsourcing by the private sector and Government Agencies. Unknowingly many Employers cut and merged jobs that actually determined the heart beat of their business life, in lieu of achieving a good bottom line for their shareholders. The chickens have finally come home to roost. America has yet to capitalize or leverage its Logistics Discipline in a Global Economy.

What am I saying? Companies like Wal-Mart, Fed EX, and Southwest Airlines have leveraged their understanding of Supply Chain/Logistics but not the Government of the United States of America who initially developed and expanded the discipline. There is something wrong with that picture.

The United States Government needs to design an Oversight Global Logistics Entity that actually manages and monitors having the right thing (resources), at the right place, at the right time regardless of commodity or resource from a Global Economic Viewpoint. It is apparent the current tracking mechanisms or metrics perform in complete isolation and not in harmony with one another. No one entity is can be Greater than the sum total of the whole. Let us not lose sight that as a citizen of this Great Nation it is a first a privilege given by the American people to exercise your inalienable right to freely participate and achieve the American Dream whatever that may be in this Great Democracy!

Never mind what I think? How do we begin to fix this mess? Talk to me......and don't forget to submitt your response to http://www.change.gov/
